2021 LVMH Prize

Each year, the LVMH Prize rewards young fashion designers, selected for their talent and outstanding creativity. In 2021, with in-person event options being limited, we brought the prize to life online, launching a web and social experience that functioned as both a digital showroom and a voting platform.

The design consisted of a minimalist, drawn back visual aesthetic, centred around an omni-directional navigation that permitted users to view the pieces in an open and fully-immersive phygital showroom.

As you browsed the website, you could discover the candidates’ collections, bios and hear the designers talk about their brands and aspirations, retaining the social aspect that would have otherwise been lost. We also made use of 360 degree png sequencing, giving users full control of the models in their own environment, permitting a more detailed look at the designs and their nuances.

We directed the main fashion film at LV studios in Paris. Made in a way which could adapt over time, as the competition evolved from the semifinal to the final stage. We also remotely directed 40 videos with the designers. “The Walk” and “The Talk” was used both on the site and LVMH Prize social media channels as original content.
